The Project Manager, Engineering MOD is responsible for the daily management of a team of 6-8 in the fulfillment of Modernization engineering.
The position will engage and remain a link throughout the project life cycle, driving project execution and delivery in the areas of mechanical, electrical, layout, and project management.
Workload Management: Lead the transition of projects from sales into engineering for assigned projects. Manage workload capacity analysis and assignment for active project backlog and new sales.
Deliverable Management: Responsible for the on-time performance of assigned engineering deliverables (layouts, submittals, material release, timely receipt of change orders). Drive KPIs to validate performance and drive improvement.
Customer Management: Single point of contact between field operations and engineering for assigned projects. Meet and exceed Service Level Agreement requirements.
Employee Engagement: Provide training, coaching, and mentoring in processes, tools, and documentation in support of daily operations. Foster a culture of communication and development in support of future career trajectory.
Scope of Responsibility:
Project & Workload Management
• Lead the transition of modernization projects from sales to engineering, ensuring a seamless handoff and clear project scope.
• Manage team workload, balancing active project backlog with new opportunities to optimize resource utilization.
• Oversee project forecasting, including engineering cost-to-complete and resource planning.
Deliverables & Execution Management
• Drive the on-time delivery of engineering outputs, including layouts, submittals, material releases, and change orders.
• Coordinate with supply chain partners to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials aligned with project schedules.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, ensure quality, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Customer & Stakeholder Coordination
• Act as the primary point of contact between field operations and engineering throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and deliver a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales and operations, to support successful project outcomes.
Team Leadership & Employee Development
• Lead, coach, and develop a cross-functional engineering team to achieve performance and growth objectives.
• Manage employee-related responsibilities, including performance management, training, and administrative functions.
• Promote a culture of engagement, collaboration, and continuous professional development.
Education
Bachelors degree required
Experience
3-5 years of experience working with elevators in the construction industry, project/program management, and/or supply chain management
Resource planning experience
Experience working in cross functional roles across direct/indirect reports
Experience in project cost forecasting, project management, and/or supply chain management
Skills
Computer skills – Microsoft Office, MS-Project, and SAP
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people with diverse backgrounds
Ability to develop and maintain positive, cooperative, team-oriented relationships
Strong business acumen, project management planning
Special Requirements
Travel 10% -15% domestic
Base Salary $113,400 - $125,100
The above represents the typical salary range for this position. Revisions to the range may be considered based on your experience, education, location, demonstrated skills, and alignment with business priorities. Please note that the compensation listed reflects only base salary and does not include variable incentives or benefits. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on performance.
