Global Technology Solutions (GTS) at ResMed is a division dedicated to creating innovative, scalable, and secure platforms and services for patients, providers, and people across ResMed. The primary goal of GTS is to accelerate well-being and growth by transforming the core, enabling patient, people, and partner outcomes, and building future-ready operations.

The strategy of GTS focuses on aligning goals and promoting collaboration across all organizational areas. This includes fostering shared ownership, developing flexible platforms that can easily scale to meet global demands, and implementing global standards for key processes to ensure efficiency and consistency.

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for enabling and evolving Resmed’s Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) platform. In this role, you will partner closely with application teams to design, implement, and operate customer identity solutions that are secure, reliable, and easy to adopt at scale.

At Resmed, we are changing lives with every breath by improving patient quality of life, preventing chronic disease progression, and reducing healthcare system costs. Our mission is to delight ResMed’s developer community with an opinionated yet empathetic developer experience that avoids surprise, is a joy to use, and abstracts the complexity of modern development. This enables teams to move faster while building secure, scalable, and compliant customer-facing solutions.

This role sits within ResMed’s Digital Platform Engineering (DPE) group at the intersection of platform engineering, security, and developer experience, and is critical to how we build trusted digital experiences for customers.

  • Foster a high-performing, engineering-first culture focused on quality, security, and ownership
  • Own team delivery, outcomes, and operational health
  • Balance roadmap-driven platform work with intake and engagement from application teams
  • Act as a primary engineering partner to application teams implementing CIAM solutions
  • Guide teams through CIAM adoption patterns, best practices, and architectural tradeoffs
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Security, Architecture, Privacy, and Compliance partners
  • Provide technical oversight for CIAM solutions built using modern web and backend technologies including React, Java, MongoDB, and Redis
  • Lead teams building and operating cloud-native services hosted by Amazon Web Services, favoring an Amazon EKS deployment approach
  • Lead teams integrating and extending enterprise identity platforms such as Okta or equivalent CIAM or IAM solutions
  • Participate in design reviews and promote reuse through shared patterns, libraries, and documentation
  • Ensure CIAM services meet standards for scalability, availability, security, and privacy
  • Support operational excellence through monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement
  • Communicate clearly when risks, dependencies, or delivery challenges arise
  • May participate in an on-call support rotation

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Proven experience managing software engineering teams
  • Experience working with enterprise identity platforms such as Okta or equivalent CIAM or IAM solutions
  • Strong understanding of CIAM concepts and identity standards including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and SCIM
  • Demonstrated experience delivering customer-facing identity or security-sensitive platforms
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical and security concepts to diverse audiences
  • Experience leading teams responsible for production systems with high availability, security, and reliability requirements
