Basic Job Function:
Maintain, monitor and program energy management equipment related to the Central Energy Plant as well as all the ancillary plants throughout the facility to maximize operational efficiency.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 5 year of Plant operations experience preferred.
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Valid Driver’s License
- Favorable driving history
- Company policy requires that one must be 18 years of age or older to drive a company vehicle and pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) review
- Proficient in Windows XP and Microsoft Office software applications such as : Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Must have patience and the ability to deal with problems involving several variable in changing situations
- Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with coworkers efficiently and effectively
- Must be detail oriented and able to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
- Broad knowledge of energy management systems.
- Broad knowledge of HVAC and Electrical systems.
- Ability to easily adapt to organizational and environmental changes
- Must be flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in a clean uniform and following company Dress Code policy
- Learn the names and personally recognize our regular Guest and members
- Answer any questions guest may have about Sea Island or the area to the best of one's ability
- Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to the Director of Engineering.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas
- Uphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timing
- Willing and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership
- Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement
- Comply with OSHA regulations, Material Safety Data Sheets (MADS) and safety.
- Perform safety checks on related equipment as required.
- Perform water chemical tests, water softener testing and make the necessary adjustments and needed.
- Monitor electrical demand, pumps, refrigerant usage and filtration systems
- Monitor and trouble shoot HVAC equipment including air handler units, motors, VSD’s and controls.
- Lead and train the HVAC team in the operation of energy management equipment and calibration of equipment.
- Maintain EMS equipment (Controls)
- Program and monitor energy management equipment related to the Central Plant and all other ancillary plants throughout the facility to ensure proper operation and prevent peak demand charges and penalties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
