In this role supporting our Power & Water Solutions business, you will collaborate with hardware suppliers and cross‑functional partners to assess performance, verify product and service quality, and ensure alignment with required specifications, industry standards, and customer expectations.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure products and services meet required industrial quality standards and defined specifications.
  • Establish supplier quality targets and continuously evaluate performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement across quality, processes, cost, and productivity.
  • Partner with suppliers to drive enhancements in in‑process quality, outgoing quality, and customer return performance.
  • Lead Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) from initiation through closure, guiding root‑cause analysis and ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve quality issues that could affect product delivery, reliability, or customer satisfaction, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Work with commodity management to conduct supplier risk assessments and implement mitigation plans for critical suppliers.
  • Plan and conduct supplier audits using the Emerson Supplier Audit Checklist (ESAC) and product audit methodologies to verify product, process, and quality system compliance, including cybersecurity requirements.
  • Support external third‑party audits at supplier locations as needed.
  • Support qualification of new suppliers and new parts to confirm readiness and conformance with quality requirements.
  • Contribute to new product introduction (NPI) and risk‑mitigation initiatives to help suppliers meet product and service quality expectations.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive supplier quality strategy and improvement roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional groups to define quality standards, processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Identify, prioritize, and manage Quality Assurance activities based on project scope, risk, and organizational needs.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supplier quality and quality assurance.

Highly strategic with a strong customer service mentality, ensuring continued focus on internal collaborators and external partners to drive the results we require. A collaborative nature is needed to develop a company-wide strategy, navigating a variety of end goals but continuing to drive for results.
 

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 7+ years experience in supplier quality management, with a proven track record in driving quality and process improvements
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and hands-on experience in leading and executing quality audits
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%, domestically
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without need for sponsorship now or in the future. This is not a position for which sponsorship will be provided. Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, IT, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Broad exposure to high‑mix, low‑volume manufacturing environments, particularly within electrical/electronic components, assembly operations, and system integration.
  • Process knowledge in key manufacturing areas such as plastic injection molding, metal fabrication, and cable harness production; experience in printed circuit board and electronics assembly is a significant advantage.
