Description

Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level?  Join our dynamic Flight Management System team at Honeywell Aerospace, where we design, develop, and integrate highly complex systems for our Anthem Next Generation Avionics project.  We are on the lookout for an experienced Software Engineer who is passionate about creating innovative software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.


In this role, you will work in a fast-paced and exciting development environment with a team of experienced software and systems engineers to satisfy technical requirements, support functional load deliveries and ensure compliance with certification requirements.


You will report directly to our FMS Sr. Software Engineering Manager, and you will work at our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.



Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designing and developing high-quality Core Software architecture and applications.
  • Integrating Flight Management software for new product development.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.
  • Implement software solutions that meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
  • Conduct software requirements and code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Testing and Integration on test benches in labs.
  • Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices in software development.

 



Qualifications

US PERSON REQUIREMENT
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.


YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development.
  • Strong C plus plus or Object-oriented programming skills.
  • Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Strong software architecture and design development skills.

 

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Knowledge of aerospace standards and regulations, such as DO-178C.
  • Experience in leading the team for developing software for embedded systems.
  • Multi-core / multi-thread development experience.
  • Strong understanding of OOAD approach and concepts.
  • Strong analytical and software development skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Passion for continuous learning and professional development.
