Job Responsibilities:

The outlined duties and responsibilities serve as the baseline for this role. Employees are encouraged to actively seek opportunities to enhance their contributions to both the Project and the company beyond these requirements.   • Responsible as the “Model Manager” for assigned projects.
  • Assist VDC Manager in preparing VDC Guidelines (BIMxP) for project specific requirements.
  • Assist VDC Manager in training project personnel in the use of BIM tools.
  • Assist the VDC Manager in Project Pursuits with Business Development
  • Understand contractual and legal obligations.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Create & maintain models for project specific requirements such as:

  • Develop schematic and detailed level models including modeling structure, interior and exterior architectural elements, and MEP systems (as applicable)
  • Identify conflicts, incomplete or ambiguous design information.
  • Coordinate with Subcontractors
  • Develop models to illustrate contractor questions and solutions.
  • Coordinate with project team to subcontract assignments to outside vendors.
  • Compile VDC closeout information as outlined by the Owner/Client

Manage model change control

  • Develop models to illustrate contractor questions and solutions.
  • Update as built and revised Building Information Model (as applicable)
  • Distribute new and revised models showing changes and RFI answers.

Scheduling Support

  • Assist the VDC Manager in the development of the design phase schedule including the modeling and coordination schedule.
  • Prepare 4D simulations as required.

Trade Coordination

  • Define scopes of work, evaluate field problems, and assist in issuing RFIs through the field staff.
  • Update and distribute documents and models to subcontractors and maintain control logs (as applicable)
  • Manage model coordination meetings, or oversee meetings are supported by field staff, and document project VC meetings (write minutes if there is no field staff support)
  • Coordinate models with internal and subcontractor details and modelers Record coordination sign offs.

Field Coordination Support

  •  Assist project team with construction coordination and scheduling.
  • QA/QC field rough-in relative to the coordinated model.
  • Publish coordinated models to Procore.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years’ project engineering experience– Field Engineer, Project Engineer, or equivalent
  • Demonstrate the ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and direct support experience in required VDC software (i.e., Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal English language communication skills.
  • Ability to use independent judgment, problem-solving ability, self-starting, and ability to prioritize based on relevant factors.
  • Highly organized, creative, solution-oriented, and team-focused
  • Must have strong interpersonal relations skills, communication skills, enthusiastic attitude, leadership ability and excellent work ethic.
  • Timely and accurate preparation of VDC models, shop drawings, etc.
  • Develop and maintain positive customer/client satisfaction.
  • Flexibility to work with a variety of team members and dynamic project demands.
  • Part 107 sUAS License is a plus.
  • Use and understanding of 3D Scanning methodology is a plus.

 

Salary: The salary range for this position is $75,000 – $85,000 per year. Salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, location where job is performed. Haselden does not discriminate based upon any protected category with respect to the payment of wages.
