DeltaV Automation Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and implement Emerson DeltaV control systems for Life Sciences manufacturing
• Develop and program batch processes (ISA-88 standards)
• Collaborate with clients to create custom automation solutions that meet cGMP and regulatory standards
• Configure DeltaV controllers, HMIs, and historian systems
• Support FAT/SAT testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
• Ensure compliance with GAMP5, 21 CFR Part 11, and validation life cycle requirements
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
• Mentor junior engineers and share expertise with the team

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Control Systems Engineering (or related field)
• 3+ years of hands-on Emerson DeltaV experience (design, implementation, configuration)
• Life Sciences / Pharma industry experience (biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical devices)
• Proficiency in ISA-88 Batch Processing and DeltaV Batch configuration
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, GAMP5, and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance
• Familiarity with automation protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, Profibus, OPC, Foundation Fieldbus, HART)
• Experience conducting FAT/SAT, startup, and commissioning
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Willingness to travel up to 25% for client support
