Job Summary<\/b><\/span>

The Sr. Network Planning Engineer is responsible for the oversight, planning, budgeting, and project<\/span>
<\/span><\/span> <\/div>
timing for network growth, modernization, consolidation, and advancement needs in a fiber focused<\/span>
<\/span><\/span> <\/div>
business. The Planner uses various inputs to determine the optimal network distribution solutions based<\/span>
<\/span><\/span> <\/div>
on demand, architecture, funding, and anticipated growth. The Planner analyzes current demand,<\/span>
<\/span><\/span> <\/div>
geospatial data, data analytics, and forecasts to determine and implement the best network solutions.<\/span>

  • Analyze network demands using multiple inputs such as forecasts, consumption, GIS tools,
    analytics, and other market indicators.
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Determine optimal project architecture solutions while balancing the customer experience, cost,
    scalability, and reliability.
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Develop project costing and support business case development.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Guide partner organizations\/suppliers to implement solutions successfully.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Drive network and process advancement.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Performs other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization.<\/span>

    Qualifications:<\/b><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span> <\/div>
    • 5+ years of related experience required.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or job\-related
      field preferred.
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • The qualified candidate will need to have a broad network understanding:<\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> <\/ul>
      • Access networks<\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • FTTP\/FTTN<\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • BBDLC network<\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Ethernet Services<\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Feeder\/Distribution facilities<\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Customer Prem solutions<\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • MDU\/MTU solutions<\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • SONET<\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Wireless<\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Transport\/Data dependencies.<\/span>

        • Outside Plant (OSP) architectures consisting of underground, direct buried, aerial, and building
          applications.
          <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
        • In\-depth understanding of PON architectures to include centralized and distributed split,
          greenfield MDU\/SFU, and inside wiring solutions
          <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
        • Network elements associated with FTTP, FTTN, xPON, BDLC, TDM, G.Hn, Broadband services,
          and Active Ethernet solutions.
          <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
        • Understanding of CPE solutions<\/span>
          <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
        • GIS experience with platforms such as ARC GIS and QGIS<\/span>
          <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
        • Understanding of CAD based drawing systems.<\/span>
          <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
        • Proficiency in MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint<\/span>
          <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
        • Experience with common analytics tools (i.e., Alteryx, Tableau)<\/span>
          <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
        • Database skills which including creation, scripting, and programming (i.e., Microsoft SQL),
          preferred.
          <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
        • Understand LEAN concepts.<\/span>
          <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> <\/ul>
